On Thursday, November 13th, I attended a meeting held by the Jefferson County Preservation Society at the Jefferson County Library. I helped with a panel discussion that included stories by Jefferson County citizens about why they were involved with JCPS. Each story was different, but they all had a common theme. Each participant expressed concern over past and present developments in Jefferson County that affect our lives every day.
If you are a member of JCPS, you received an invitation to this event by email. I hope you were missing because something important kept you away. I just want to remind you that nothing is more important than your attention to your county government. It is the duty of everybody to stay engaged and informed in holding our county leaders accountable.
The coming months are going to see an increase in activity as the election season develops. Please stay tuned. Attend meetings, ask questions, volunteer, run for office, VOTE!
